Beads for Agape was founded by Audrey Ku, inspired by the mission of Agape Children’s Ministry, which is dedicated to reuniting families and supporting children in Kenya as they transition from the streets, back into a family environment. During her first trip to Kenya in November 2022, Audrey was introduced to African Trading Bead bracelets, and their history and cultural significance. This experience sparked an idea —to create a platform that supports local artisans and raises awareness and funds for Agape Children’s Ministry. Since her first visit, she has gone back in August of 2024 and plans to return for a third visit in July of 2025.
